UPAAH PALAKASAN 2024
THREE TEAMS • SERIES OF EVENTS • ONE ULTIMATE WINNER
Instead of a traditional Sportsfest, Palakasan is a Wellness Program that will challenge you - all skill levels are welcome.
We will have a series of events and games that will cater to different interests. This challenge is open to UPAAH members and their family and friends!
Here's what you need to do:
1. Sign-up if you're interested to join. You will be assigned to a team.
- Team BAKULAW (Captain: Albert Jalalon)
- Team MANANANGGAL (Captain: Imelda Gasmen)
- Team TIKBALANG (Captain: Dennis Bondocoy)
2. Attend the pre-game challenges and you can collect individual and team points! Player and team with the most points will be awarded at Palakasan Championship Day on November 16.
3. If you're not interested to play, but would like to participate - you can always donate a prize! You can also always attend the events as we will need volunteer judges and marshals in case of disputes.

Hiking at Makapuu Lighthouse Trail
2.5 mile hike on a paved trail lookout, majestic ocean views and lighthouse. Hike is approximately 1.5 hours.
- Sunrise Hike - 5:30 am, led by Jenny Normand. Carpool will be arranged (parking lot opens at 7am)
- Morning Hike - 7:00 am, led by Dennis Bondocoy
All hikers and non-hikers are invited to a post-hike Potluck Picnic at Makapuu beach. UPAAH will provide coffee and drinks (c/o Tim), but bring a dish to share with all. Jenny may also lead a meditation session.

Ping Pong Exhibition and Tournament!

Beginner, average, advanced, enthusiast, curious, novice - whatever level you are at with ping pong, invited ka pa rin to sign-up! Remember - it's competitive, pero for the sake of fun. So fun competiton = funpetiton!

Expect a whole program of fun games. Think about parlor games with a twist - you don't need to be fit like an Olympian, just bring your wits and diskarte, as most of the games will test your team work, knowledge and strategy.
What can be expected:
- Morning Yoga warm-up by Jenny
- Relay games
- Mind games
- Cheering competition
- Potluck lunch at the park
Remember, only one team can reign supreme and have the bragging rights for Pinakamalakas 2024!
