Join the 3rd Annual Hawai'i Walk for Health on Saturday, August 29, 2026, 8:00 a.m. at Neal S. Blaisdell Park in ‘Aiea.

What started as a simple community walk has grown into a powerful gathering of people who believe that health means more than physical fitness. We recognize that many in our community face rising costs of living, housing insecurity, war and humanitarian crises, government and workplace challenges, and uncertainty about the future for the next generation. These realities affect our mental health, our sense of hope, and our overall well-being.
That is why we walk.
- We walk when words aren't enough.
- We walk when we are frustrated, concerned, or searching for solutions.
- We walk to support workers, immigrants, elders, youth, and neighbors.
- We walk to care for our minds, bodies, and spirits.
- We walk to show solidarity.
- We walk because the community is stronger when we move forward together.
The Walk is designed to be accessible and welcoming to everyone, with a well-marked, mostly flat route suitable for beginners, families with children, kūpuna, and individuals with reduced mobility. Along the way, you’ll find inspirational and educational signs, community messages, support stations, and opportunities to connect with organizations working to strengthen our communities.
The Hawai'i Walk for Health is hosted by: University of the Philippines Alumni Association of Hawai'i (UPAAH), National Alliance for Filipino Concerns (NAFCON), Hawai'i Filipinos for Truth, Justice and Democracy (HFJTD), Hawai'i Workers Center (HWC), and Hawai'i Public Health Institute (HIPHI).
Our 2026 partners include: Anakbayan Hawai'i, Filipino Curriculum Project, Filipino Mental Health Initiative - Hawai'i, Generation Action at the University of Hawai'i Mānoa, Katipunan Club at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa, Philippine Pre-Medical Association of Hawai'i, Social Medicine Hawai'i, and Timpuyog Organization at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa.
Whatever your reason for walking, let's do it together.
